Welcome to the new homepage for the Les Misérables Media Comparison Checklist!  

Warning! For the uninitiated: These lists are comparisons to the original work as well as reviews of the works themselves; therefore, plot elements will be discussed. This may spoil the movie for you if you have not seen it, but let's face it, you wouldn't be here if you didn't know the general plot anyway. Still, fair warning: certain surprises and plot complications will be spoiled for you if you read these lists. Do so at your own risk.

Where an opinion is expressed it is my own, and I take full responsibility for it; where a fact is incorrect I take responsibility for that, too, and would appreciate being (pleasantly) corrected, so if there is something amiss please alert me at the address for this site (listed on the homepage). And as new versions are released or become available I will include them in the listings, if they are brought to my attention. Some of the information given at the time the reviews were written is no longer accurate so be forewarned on that as well.

S T I C K I E ®   A W A R D S

I have instituted an award of sorts, the Silver Candlesticks, otherwise known as Stickies®, for any number of various categories that personally amuse me. As I am the sole voter, all decisions are not only binding, but unanimously so... and only the most convincing (and clever) arguments might hope to persuade me otherwise. On the other hand, if there’s an award that is obvious, but unincluded, write it in and if the work merits it, new Stickies® will be awarded. NOTE: there are no Best Picture, Actor, Actress, Director, etc. awards. These are awards of interpretation and presentation, not popularity contests.

The Les Misérables Comparative Media Checklist is presented for purposes of education and entertainment; no infringement on any copyright holders of the above works is intended or should be inferred.
